Each year the Awards Gala and Workshop have focused on specific themes and areas of development. The outcomes of the events have included dissemination of credible information about Haiti; creation of a forum for Haitians living in the U.S, Haiti, and Canada; mobilization of the Hatian and Haitian-American populations in the U.S. and Canada; identification of issues relevant sustainable economic development efforts in Haiti; and finally improvement of Haiti's overall image and relationship with the U.S. government.
