Cross-cultural Political integration To introduce, educate and thereby integrate the next generation of Haitian Americans into the U.S. political process, NOAH in Public of Manote collaboration with the Haitian-American Alliance (HAA), sponsored a group of 40 Haitian-American university students from universities in the Northeast corridor to meet with Congressional leaders and Senators on Capitol Hill. Students were given the opportunity to actively engage in meaningful dia logue expressing their views and concerns about Haiti's develop ment and economic recovery. This initiative was well received by the students, Congressmen and Senators alike, and gave the stu dents a firsthand personal experience in how the political process works, and the importance of being actively involved in order to bring about.'change.
